The running shoe I’ve been waiting for since it was announced back in December 2009, has finally hit shelves. I’m talking about the Nike Lunar Eclipse +. A shoe that exceeds one of my personal favorite runners, the Nike Lunar Glide +. What this shoe does is take everything great about the Lunar Glide, to the next level, by including the technologies of Lunarlon and Dynamic Support. The reason I like the shoe a lot.
Join me as I break down that extension of the shoe with exclusives images…
The light weight Nike LunarElite + was revealed in 2009 with a few other models from the Nike Lunar series. It saw release this year in January and has now move forward to the Nike iD Builder with a nice option set.
*Update 11.04.09: New Nike Lunars 2010
*Update 9.21.09: Sorry for the long wait on this update. I think I found my one and only running shoe. Well, for now. The comfort and support is spot on. I felt like my stride was on point and not off balance (some shoes can actually unbalance your run). They feel real nice on the feet and extremely light on them. The traction on the sole is excellent also, but only time will tell how long that will last. I didn’t get the heel burn I sometimes get from other running shoes either. If you’ve been looking into getting something new to run in, look no further. Nike definitely has a winner here. I’m really looking forward to my nightly runs with these.
*Update 8.25.09: I took a run in them tonight and will for the next couple of days. After that I will update again on the performance.
I got a little surprise from the Mrs. today. These are the Nike Lunarglide + “Black/Orange” model. There is a ‘Blue/Volt’ c/w and a ‘Silver’ c/w just in case these don’t catch your eye. I originally didn’t like this c/w, but with the help of some pictures taken by an ISS forum user, I had a change of heart. This c/w came out overseas first and just hit the states earlier than the original release date of August 10th. You can get these at Nike Town in-store (Nike.com doesn’t have this color up yet), Finish Line, and Road Runner Sports. Eastbay is taking pre-orders because they are sold out of the first batch due to a $30 coupon offer they had. Pre-orders will ship on August 8th.
