Release INFO: New Balance x Burn Rubber MT580BR

I know most have seen these  images of the collaboration effort by Detroit based sneaker boutique, Burn Rubber. So, I’m obviously not going to post those images. Here you will see a new set of images that are a bit more detailed and I will also shed light on more release information on this great looking shoe. Especially for those sneaker enthusiasts overseas…

The New Balance x Burn Rubber MT580 comes in a nice and clean color-way in a tonal Grey with a dash of Orange to the plastic eyelet. It uses patent leather accents, with some hints of 3M reflective, a gummy bottom, custom argyle print for the ankle liner, sock liner and laces. Also, three laces will come with them in the form of a solid Black and Solid Grey. They will release to 1000 pairs worldwide. Less than 500 of them will see light in the good Ol’ USA, with the other 500+ going to overseas retailers. You will obviously be able to grab them first on November 26, 2010 at Burn Rubber Online and their retail spot at 202 West Fourth Street, Royal Oak, Michigan 48067. Than, check out Mita now for available sizes. The next retailer will be everyone’s favorite international stockist, Hanon. You will be able to grab them on December 1st from them. I don’t know who else will carry them, but stay tuned as I update this post with future details.

If your interested in reading about the idea and concept behind the shoe, head to the blog of co-owner and designer of Burn Rubber, Rick Williams. He also happens to be a huge fan of the model. Hence why it was chosen for their collaboration. The entry price of the shoe will be $150. A bit more expensive than what I anticipated, but I think in the end they will be a great addition to anyone’s collection. Those that think twice will regret it and may end up eating whatever the Bay’s prices will be. Good luck to everyone…

This is the Hanon drop date above.

  1. I noticed glue stains around the toe box and edging off the suede at the toe
box looks messy, are these cleaned in the production run model that will be released thanksgiving day??

  2. Yeah, noticed that too. Honestly, I do hope they are the production model, but the Mita images look like they were taken by them or, they could be images by NB sent to Mita. It’s hard to tell with the way things go. Well just have to wait and see when they release the day after Thanksgiving.
