News Break: ASICS x Solebox Gel Pack Has Been Dropped

A little over a week ago I posted an image of the ASICS x Solebox Gel pack that many have been wondering about. Rumors have been out and about the cancellation of this entire pack. Though I knew about it, I waited for Solebox to officially come out and state if the rumor would be true and possibly give us an explanation as to why they dropped the set. Well it looks like the truth is finally out. With no words in their articles, Solebox posted photos of both color-ways from their ASICS collab with the title reading “Dropped”. Dropped can mean a couple of things, but I’ll go out on a limb here and say they got cancelled. Though there is no explanation as to what may have caused this, I’ll say that quantity may have been an issue or ‘THE’ issue. Also, another shoe comes into light in the form of a Onitsuka Tiger. This makes the set move from two to three shoes…

News Break: Nike Air Max 1 iD Builder for 2012

In 2009 Nike once again introduced one of their most beloved silhouettes, the Nike Air Max 1, to Nike iD. Taking an almost 2 and a half year hiatus from the Nike Builders, it was very much well received. So much, it was the leading Nike iD in total sales for over a year. Things that lead to that were the options available on the palettes. It was some of the best seen on the model builder. With classic suedes and hues, you where able to create some great one of one color-ways. Even 3M made an appearance to the AM1 builder. After that, we saw a variety of materials from patent leather, a variety of seasonal meshes, synthetic suedes, canvas, gum bottoms, denim, etc. There were even exclusive in-store only material options like boot leather and crepe outsoles. For those that know about me, you know it kept me very busy with 24+ designs making it to my shoe stack. So what should we expect from Nike on this once selling hot iD builder? How about a break…

Vagrant Sneaker x Eastbay “Shooting The Eastbay Cover”

Back in March 2011, I was approached by Brandon Richard of Sole Collector about a special project for Eastbay. It was in reference to photographing a shoe for the next cover of the Eastbay magazine. The idea was to take photos of a shoe worn in the format of WDYWT; What did you wear today. Being no stranger to this type of photography, I jumped face first at the opportunity that lead me to my very first camera flash image at night. Get ready for a lengthy read on how I captured The Nike Zoom Kobe Vl…
