Here’s a quick view of my mi adidas Tubular Runner “Frost Mint Crystal”. It took over a month to finally receive which is more than what’s stated at In a kind gesture though, adidas actually returned the shipping fees. Kudos to adi for that. I kept the shoe simple with two hues; Frost Mint and Black. It goes alongside my ‘Crystal’ custom series inspired by the Nike Dunk Sea Crystal and Ice Green. For now, here are two photos until I have time to create more and do my review on this mi adidas…

I recently received my New Balance 990 custom and I’m in the process of taking photos for a review. For now, here’s a couple of shots just in case you haven’t seen them on my Instagram or Flickr. You can also read about some of the changes to the NB custom builder here. More photos very soon. BTW, that’s ‘Neptune Blue’ on the mesh.

Customizer: New Balance 990 Custom Builder

The long-awaited update to the New Balance custom builder is finally here. The update brings forward a better user experience, new colors (some old ones gone), new model, and a new 3D render to dress up. The new silhouette they decided to add is the iconic 990. Personally, I’m a bit surprised by this new addition; it does make sense though. Seen the amount of love NB has given this model since its release and the history it bares, it was a logical step to take at this given time. Talking about time, I took a short stab at it tonight to see the new color palette and what other options, if any, were added. While doing so, I decided to take out my 2009 Nike iD “Midnight Rose” and made a rendition of it as you see above…

Customizer: New Balance US574M1 “His Or Hers”

Photography By Angel Gonzalez/Vagrant Sneaker ©2013

Purchased on September 19, 2012, this year + old New Balance 574 Custom has sat in a corner collecting dust until my New Balance Excellent Makers video was released. The colorway takes inspiration from a woman who was walking in front of me with a dress that had similar hues. I took a photo of her and interpreted it into what you see above. One thing I decided to use was a darker blue instead of a lighter blue/greenish hue on the bottom part of her dress (I did however add a light blue accent on the heel tab which still sticks to the original idea of the dress). I felt that the darker blue gave it a borderline look in which either gender could wear. Though these days it really doesn’t matter what color shoes are on men or women and why its called His or Hers; His or Hers. It’s  a pretty straight forward CW design….

Customizer: Nike Roshe Run iD “Blue Monday”

Nike Roshe Run iD Blue monday 1

I got a lot of nice feedback on my first Nike Roshe Run iD posted over a week ago on Facebook, Instagram and here. I appreciate the positive remarks and the people that said they were remaking those. Today, I present you with the second pair called “Blue Monday”. This one is interesting because the original color-way I designed was slightly different from this. It was actually Fusion Red, instead of the hyper blue. The change actually happened when I saw the Roshe Run sample with that hue. It looked great in person and I decided to use that instead of the fusion red. To add some contrast to the hyper blue and arctic green, some light blue was added to the ankle liner and laces. This accent was added to give a break off between both the hyper blue and arctic green on the tongue. The last detail you’ll see is the neutral grey swoosh which was put there to add some separation and pop between the upper, mid-sole and ankle liner….
