WOEI’s Asics Gel Lyte lll “Cervidae” is a shoe that takes the word ‘collaboration’ to it’s finest hour. Nowadays collabs have become somewhat passe and in my opinion, dead. When we see brands applying single color applications or multiple hues that look like they’ve been recycled, it gets boring. To see Woei’s Asics today is quite refreshing to say the least. When you look at the shoe in these photos, you can see what time, passion and love can bring. It’s about creating something out of the ‘normal’ and totally changing what it stands for.
A trainer at heart, this Gel Lyte lll takes the form of a trail shoe inspired by the harsh European Tundras. Hearing that and looking at the shoe you can see that the make-up has a neutral color-way of brown tonal hues mixed with white. Where the shoe gets really interesting and appealing is when you notice the details of the trail hook eyelets, ziz-zag stitching on the toe-box, and round two tone laces. Looking further into the design you can see accents of 3m, embroidery details of the WOEI logo and name on the heel panels that finish the silhouette off. It doesn’t end there though. When the shoe drops on June 23rd 2012, the WOEI store will also go a transformation of ‘The Outdoors’ to compliment the shoe’s artistry. The first 100 customers waiting in-line will also get a free t-shirt and customized box.
After the WOEi store release there will be select retailers that will launch the shoe on June 30th, 2012 and than it will be discharged globally on July 7, 2012. It’s good to hear that the shoe will be a global release because this unique shoe deserves it. 2012 will bring many shoes that will be gobbled up by fans, consumers, and resellers, but very few can stand on the same plateau as the ‘Cervidae’. In fact, this shoe sets the bar and the standard of what a collaboration should be. Long live the European Tundra.

Those have to be one of the best collabos ive seen in a very long time. I hope with the global release it wont be as limited as some other collabos that make it difficult to get like some of ronnies shit.

I believe so. I asked WOIE himself to give it to me once he gets it. I assume it will the entire list.
Please let me know also.. been looking everywhere for this shoe. Kithnyc is the only place I know so far but they are only doing instore release which sucks.
