After a releasing a teaser clip on Sunday, we finally get some images of the Asics x Ronnie Fieg Gel Lyte lll “Mint Leaf” (dope color-way). We also now know that these will release this coming Friday, 15 2011 at 10am at the David Z Flagship store and their Online site for $120. The store will have a limited run, so get there early. You already saw how it was for the Ultra-Marine launch, so expect this to be even bigger considering this is the last shoe coming out of that store. Wow, why the price increase? These bitches better give handjobs. Not sure about ones before the super red but from my order history:
- $90 super red GL3
- $105 navy GL3
- $115 teal GL3
- $115 grey GL3
- $110 ultra marine GTII (although a different model)
- $120 mint GL3

Yeah Nic. It’s always limited one per person. I can tell you one major factor for the price increases. Chinese workers. With a conversation I had with RF recently, Chinese workers will be getting an increase in pay for the next few years. SO, expect a lot of things to go up. Including shoes. Especially when less are made, It will become more expensive.
I know that I have been able to get two multiple times when I order for my friends as well.
That definitely makes sense for in increase but isn’t the shoe the same materials as the Navy GL3s at least it looks like it? The navys came with the extra bag too.
Either way, I definitely like that the mints have mesh (just like the navys which is my favorite pair he has designed). I thought that the lack of a mesh toe box and the darkness of the midsole brought the coves down. Oh well… I ended up trading my coves for the Sneaker Freaker GL3s. : )

I think you can at the online store, but at the retail spot it’s only one pair per person. Yup, it’s pretty much the same make-up as the Navy/Aquas. That was a nice trade. I actually couldn’t get the the SF GL3. I agree, I wish he put more stuff out with mesh.
That’s what I thought. I find that mesh on the toe box keeps the shape true where as the pig skin make it big, bulky, and awkward.
Haha ya I loved the trade. It started out as the SF’s for the NiceKicks 2.0 but the dude ended up changing his mind… I didn’t mind though because once I put the Coves on I knew I would find them very hard to wear. My favorite part about the SF’s is the black stripes on the medial sides of the shoes. Real simple, real sick. The one knock I do have on the SF’s is the shitty shiny mesh or whatever it is on the toe box. They would have been much better off with some traditional mesh. I’ll definitely keep an eye out for a pair for you.
