Since seen a sample some time last year (like 7 months ago), it was a sure shot that I would buy these. The attraction came from the Aqua/Blue hue and the gummy bottom. It also came from combination of the two materials with an added white accent separating the two hues. It looks so damn good. At least in my eyes. When properly worn, well,  you can see the shoe in the image above speaks for itself…

The shoe is made up from a ballistic mesh, overlaid with creamy suede panels and leather for the ///. You also get Black leather accents that seal the tongue and top of the ankle collar. To add some nice comfort, a textile liner is implemented. Finally, to finish this skate shoe, the designers threw in a gummy bottom. :) The only thing I wish the shoe didn’t have is the the rather gaudy adidas emblem on the back part of the mid-sole. I think the shoe would look so much cleaner without it. In any case, if you’re interested in them you can grab a pair at this David Z and select retailers. They also had a Natural Beige C/W too. Now, all I need is a Black version and a Red version.

This goes to show that not every shoe has to be a collaboration to look good. The excitement for me when I saw these last weekend was like the joy of a kid finding a long last toy in his house. That’s because I totally forgot about them and thought they weren’t coming out. So, my big boi Kool-Aid smile sprung forward at the first glance at these. Of course, this model is not for everyone but I’m always willing to try something as long as it looks good on me. Simple, to the point and I been wearing them everyday since the acquisition…

I’m not suprised if someone straightly cop the shoes after reading this.
Nicely done, great photos! Btw angel, when u say they use ballistic mesh, does this mean it has the similar material with AM1 Tier Zero Patta? (2009) Black/White/Green

P/S: The shoe itself reminded me of the recent release janoskis C/W.

    • It’s similar, but a different version of Ballistic Mesh. This one is softer. Basically, it’s a closed mesh that repels wind and water to a certain extent.

Now that you mentioned that, it does look like it. Lol

very nice, i’d like to see the red pair you mentioned. are these considered a “skate” shoe?

    • Well, I hope they release a Red pair. Lol I think it would look great.

Some retail spots consider it skate shoe because I see it in the skat shoe section. I don’t know the history of the model, so I couldn’t tell you if it is or not. I just went with the flow.

to me the shoes color looks a little different in each set of pictures. which picture is most indicative of the actual color of the shoes the first pic or the rest? thanks

    • The top picture looks a bit over-saturated because the sun is beaming on it. The second image that is not on foot is the most accurate representation. I guess this new white board that I’m using for the first time is giving me different results depending on where my lighting is or where I’m shooting the shoe from.
