Thank the Gods! Someone understands that when you get a chance to take images of sure-fire-hit shoes, you take advantage and do right. Props to whoever took the images of the New Balance M1500 CSW that are set to release later on in the year. Kinda freaky how close the color-way is to the 1500MJC or how the 1500MJC resembles the 1500 CSW…
Sorry to not be sorry, but I’m really sold on these after these images. Especially when these look to have a smaller toe-box when compared to the 1500UKG. On top of the that, the color-way is awesome, materials look to be very on point, the shape is for the ones that can bare it and on top of all this, they will sell out whether you like them or not. How could you wrong? That is unless you own the OG’s, but hey, that’s another time and another story…
On another note…
I would like to share this with you, as posted by Konrad in a comment. It seems that someone from Sneakertv.de sent an e-mail out to New Balance about the shape of things coming out. Particularly the 1500 and the new mould. This is the response that was sent back. It’s quite interesting on many points, including how the NB Japan division redesigned the 1500′s entire outer sole. Maybe they are the ones who like bully toe-boxes and the reason why it looks like that…
Enjoy the images
Info direct from NB for sneaker tv.de after the emailed about the shape
..the most significant change to the shoe has been the toe puff. The original toe puff was a hot melt adhesive type and this would leave the shoes looking rather flat in the toe area. We no longer use this type of toe puff in the factory and have transferred to a Forestick Thermoplastic toe puff. This type of toe puff stands up a lot better and holds the shape at the toe after the upper has been slipped from the last. This type of toe puff material is now used on all our cut to box production.
Some time ago NB Japan made the decision to re-develop the M1500 sole. This decision came on the back of the sole manufacturer informing NB Japan that the moulds were no longer suitable to produce soles from. NB Japan made the decision to re-develop the sole to make it a better fit to the SL-1 last. The revised sole has a slightly different look to it compared to the original. The toe of the new sole has a fair amount of spring at the toe where the original sole seems to look a lot flatter. There is no doubt that this revised sole unit does change the appearance of the M1500 compared to the original.
The M1500 is still produced on the SL-1 (4774) last…””
The new method of shaping the toe is better for production as with the melt method it’s easier for the workers to ruin a shoe and have to scrap it, whereas the new method employs some other kind of method to keep the shape…

I understand the whole shape thing, but IMO, its really not that big of a deal for me. The OGs came out years ago, and they are not bringing them back so ya. Anyways, these are efffin fireballs and they will be copped x2 hopefully x3! I personally love to see sick cws and materials come from NB, especially ones that are not part of a collabo. Collabos are great, but I like to see great things like this come from a company themselves. I like limited edition collabos, but if everything is /200 pairs, then the shoes never get to the people who actually want them. Ok I’m done for today hahah …keep up the great posts/info V.
Yeah man. It is what it is. Nike, now New Balance. What brand is next? For real though, I understand and respect the feelings of collectors as to why shape changes can destroy something that is close to them. It sucks that companies have to take some sort of short cut, when at the end of the day, the brand REALLY has the power to do more than what’s presented. If Patta can request the Thailand shape for their 5th anniversay Air Max 1′s and the New Balance 1300JP can be made to almost perfection, it doesn’t make sense for the shape of shoes to change. Only reason would be to cut down on cost of the shoe. The worst part is that we’ll only ever see the proper shape, at times, if it’s a collaboration. Hikmet from Solebox said it best when he was asked about the shape of shoes. He stated that “…anything is possible”…
I will be getting these, they are already my favourite release for 2011. The shape looks so DAMN AMAZING!! Shouted that from the bottom of my heart : )
And just for the record: A great example of F!#%ed up shapes would have to be the Air stab though.. The Dave White release was after my opinion more banana than ever. This is the point where i cannot ignore shapes. It was just a completely different model, compared to the OG stab.
New Balance would never go that far (I hope)
…and that is why I’m glad I missed out on the Stabs. Thank god, because I would have been pissed. Imagine opening up the box to only see an upward toe-box reaching for the banana tree. smh
Lol I like my Dave White Stabs
Ya the dw stabs were bad imo, which sukcs cuz I personally love air stabs! Maybe the reaason they scrapped them the first time hmmm. And I agree that these nbs are mu most anticipated release for me this year! For sure! Release them already please!

Dude seriously, stop bitchin around about the shape!
I can’t even tell the difference and I have 4 pairs of 1500′s here right now..
NB Is by far the best shoe manufacturer when it comes to build quality so stop whining about a slightly different shape no ones ever going to see a different, it’s not like the Nike Air Max 1 Banana Shoe now. Also When you google that
“issue” you are the only person mentioning it so I really think that you are just overacting!
