Coming off their collaboration with New Balance, HUF is now in the running with Asics. On this collab, they have chosen to work with the Asics Gel Lyte lll model. The obvious simple color-way of Blue, Red, and White hint at the colors of the US, but we’ll have to wait until HUF officially speaks on the shoe. Even though there are stars on the sock liner. There also seems to bit a hint of Tan on the Tiger Stripes, or that could be a reflection off the sand. Can’t really tell, but in either case, it looks good. It also has the HUF logo branded on the outer part of the heel panel, which happens to have some contrast Red stitching instead of the Blue that’s on the rest of the shoe’s paneling. The shoes are being shown at a Asics Friends & Family event in Berlin…
The collab is slated to hit in June 2011. No price or exact day has been hinted, but I’m sure this shoe will have no problem selling out. Guess this adds another purchase to the countless Asics coming out this year.

I would love to see the Saga back. I know Ronnie F has talked to the heads at Asics about bring that model back. He wants to be the first to work on it when it makes it’s appearance.

It’s happening in the same area as Bread and Butter. It’s a special Asics Friends and Family event happening right now. Today should is the last day and its happening at Rosenthaler Platz 72 – 1st floor Berlin which is right next to Stasi HQ Haus 18, Normannenstr 19 in Berlin.
Collaborations by Koi Klub, Sneakersnstuff, HUF, I Love Tokyo (for Italy), Surface 2 Air, and Reality Studio are all being shown there.
