By now, you know and have seen these bad boys by Ronnie Fieg. So, I don’t need to write about them. With that being said, people have been waiting for one thing, the release date. Well, it comes with great excitement to say that these beauties will release on Tuesday June 15, 2010 to a limit of 252 pairs. You can grab a a pair at the David Z flagship store or online at Davidz.com. Check some new images, news on his next two Asics releases after the break, and yes, I will be there to grab my pair.
Using only but premium materials, these have been stirring up much excitement and it’s well deserved on all accounts. Expect these to run out real fast. Faster than the Super Reds. Especially at an entry price of only $105 ($15 more than the Super Reds), it only gets better. In a shoe world where most collaborative efforts start at $150 and upwards, this is a sigh of relief that will not break the bank. Also, they will come with a Navy Asics Sport Style bag (check image below).
Anyone heading over to the David Z flagship store, don’t hesitate to come over and say hi to me. I’ll be there taking pictures of the launch and hopefully grab my pair of a size 11. See you all there.
Forecast: What else is coming?
Rest assured, this is not the last release of Ronnie Fieg’s Asics Gel Lyte lll designs. He has another two shoes planned for release this year. Expect one in August and another release from his series that starts with “Super” later on in the year. Nuff said!

What it do Homie. This is a hard choice because both of them are great in their own respects. I really love the color of the Navy/Aquas a lot. It has a color that I’ve never seen before on a sneaker. Plus, the added Mesh which is rarely used by RF and the premium nubuck are great additions. On the other hand, The Nicekicks 2.0 is a much harder sneaker to come by than these. They use a different suede that is a bit more premium than the Navy/Aqua also. It’s really up to you and what colorway you like. What would you wear more and what would match better with your outfits?
Both shoes are great, but this is a hard choice. If it was me, I would go for the Navy/Aqua because of the c/w, but an all Grey shoe is great because it goes with more stuff.
