Available: Asics GT Ultra “Grey & Purple”

Here’s another Asics retro release for 2010, the GT Ultra in a grey and purple. These dropped at the same time as the Asics GT ll “Orange & Purple” Pack. But unlike the limited release of that pack, these remain a general release (GR).

Considering these are a GR, the color-up is a straight winner. The neutral tones of grey give the shoe’s colors a nice subtle pop. You have the black suede, on top of the grey Airflow mesh, accented with a indigo on the full Tiger Stripe. Purple comes around the sock liner, parts of the out-sole and the plastic cap above the mid-sole; The midsole is left white to separate the upper silhouette and add dimension.
